Introduction to Yangxin Hall (Treasure Hall): To the north of Ningshou Palace, it was built in imitation of the Yangxin Hall in the Qianlong Year of the Qing Dynasty (1776). Emperor Qianlong once gave banquets to princes and ministers here. In the late Qing Dynasty, when Empress Dowager Cixi lived in Leshou Hall, she ate in the East Nuan Pavilion of this hall. Emperor Guangxu lived here, and he and Empress Dowager Cixi received foreign envoys and their wives here. Now this place has been turned into a treasure museum exhibition hall.
Most of the palace treasures of the Qing Dynasty collected by the Palace Museum were made on orders from the Construction Office, the agency in charge of construction in the Forbidden City. Some were tributes from local officials during New Year celebrations. Most of these treasures are made of precious materials such as gold, silver, jade, jade, pearls and various gemstones. They are made with great ingenuity and no expense is spared. The production technology represents the highest level at that time and is widely used in palace rituals, religious sacrifices, etc. Activities in various fields such as daily life and leisure entertainment all show the supremacy and dignity of imperial power, and the royal grace and elegance, reflecting the palace style of that era in detail.
