Introduction to Zhongcui Palace: One of the six eastern palaces, it was originally named Xianyang Palace. It was used as a residence for concubines in the Ming and Qing dynasties. The empress of Emperor Xianfeng (the Empress Dowager Ci'an who listened to politics behind the curtain with Empress Dowager Cixi) has always lived in this palace. , known as the Queen Mother of the East. It is now used as a jade exhibition hall.
The Palace Museum has a considerable collection of jade articles. Among them, there are more than 10,000 pieces collected, used and manufactured by the Qianlong Dynasty.
