Introduction to the lantern: The lantern is located in the southwest of the outer circle of the Circular Mound Altar. It is a lamp used for lighting during sacrifices. There were three during the Qing Dynasty. Under each lantern, there is a stone lantern stand and a stone clamp to fix the lantern pole. The lantern pole is nine feet high (28.8 meters), with a wishful pole and a pulley on the top to control the lifting and lowering of the lantern. It is supported by three huge wooden poles, and the lantern is suspended from the infinite pole.
