Introduction to the Rhinoceros Horn Cup: The Beijing Art Museum is located in the Wanshou Temple, an ancient temple in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It was founded in 1985 and now has a collection of nearly 50,000 pieces of various ancient works of art. The era ranges from primitive society to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, especially The Ming and Qing Dynasties were the most spectacular. The collection covers a wide range of categories, including calligraphy and paintings from past dynasties, inscriptions and letters from celebrities, palace weaving and embroidery, official kiln porcelain, ancient furniture, coins and seals from past dynasties, etc. Others include bronze wares, jade wares, bamboo and wood horn wares, Buddha statues, snuff bottles, etc., to name a few. In addition to ancient Chinese art, the museum also preserves some foreign art. The foreign art is mainly Japanese paintings, and also includes some utensils. The collection is mostly cultural relics from the Meiji and Edo periods of Japan, and also has collections of Qi Baishi, Zhang Daqian, and Xu Beihong. and other masterpieces handed down from generation to generation by modern masters. The collections are mainly scattered in the side halls on both sides of the main road building.
