Introduction to the National Museum of Lebanon: The National Museum of Lebanon gathers the essence of cultural relics unearthed over the years. It is known as the mirror of Lebanon’s splendid civilization history and the country’s bright treasure. It was built under the leadership of architect Anthony Narath and was built in 1942. It was completed and opened to the outside world. When the Lebanese Civil War broke out in 1975, the National Museum was located in the center of the fighting and was repeatedly shelled and closed. All exhibits are sealed and stored. After the civil war, with the help of French experts, the museum was restored and reopened on November 25, 1997.
