Introduction to Castle Island: Castle Island is located near Castle Harbor, in the northern part of the Tucker`s Tow peninsula. The stone castle building established in 1612 still exists. The island and a string of nearby islets across Castle Harbor to the south are collectively known as the Castle Islands. These fortresses, together with the town of St. George and other fortresses in the parish, are UNESCO World Heritage Historic Towns.
