Introduction to the Beijing City Founding Column: There are two landmark buildings in the park, one of which is the City Founding Column. The Memorial Column, also known as the "Jicheng Memorial Column", was erected in 1995 to commemorate the 3040th anniversary of the founding of Beijing. It is made of 25 granite stones, 9 meters high, and has a square base. On the front of the top of the pillar is a gold-plated engraving that reads, "Beijing city began in this place, which was only Zhou Dynasty at that time, and its name was Ji".
Attraction
