Introduction to the Beijing Capital Memorial Tower: The second landmark building in the park is the Beijing Capital Memorial Tower. In 1153 AD, Jin Zhongdu was built as a city. This was recognized as the beginning of the establishment of the capital of Beijing and occupied a very important position in the transformation of Beijing. In 2003, to commemorate the 850th anniversary of the founding of Beijing as the capital, a unique "Beijing Capital Memorial Tower" was built south of the "Jicheng Memorial Column" and on the site of Jinzhongdu Da'an Hall. The Memorial Tower was designed by the Contemporary Art Center of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. The overall shape consists of a bracket and four bronze dragons facing the four directions of southeast, northwest and northwest. The tower is 12 meters tall, and the ground is paved with granite stone, covering an area of about 760 square meters. The base of the memorial tower is engraved with "The Founding of Beijing as a Capital" written by the famous historical geographer Hou Renzhi.
