Introduction to Pu Guangming Hall: This hall is the main hall of the temple, where monks chant sutras in the morning and evening and hold important Buddhist activities. Completed in 1992, it is located at the former site of the "Muni Hall". It is an ancient building in Xieshan style. In the center of the hall is a holy statue of Sakyamuni Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, made of white marble and gilded; on both sides are the Buddha's attendants, Venerable Kassapa and Venerable Ananda. On the east side of the north wall of the hall is a statue of Manjushri Bodhisattva, and on the west side is a statue of Samantabhadra Bodhisattva, both of which are carved from white marble. The rubbings on the east and west walls of the main hall are portraits of sixteen saints. The original artist was Master Guanxiu, an eminent monk of the Five Dynasties. One of the couplets outside the main hall door was written by layman Zhao Puchu, and the other was written by Master Jinghui, the abbot of the temple. They are a collection of Zhaozhou Zen master's koan and the history of the temple. The meaning of Zen is timeless and the history is clear.
