Introduction to Sucre Cathedral: Sucre Cathedral was built in 1551. Two side aisles were added at the end of the 17th century, and the central entrance was renovated in Baroque style. In the side aisle is the Chapel of Our Lady of Guadalpe, which houses the most precious statue of the Virgin in South America made in 1601, decorated with diamonds and pearls. The 4-story bell tower of the cathedral is the landmark building of the "White City" Sucre. There are standing statues of 4 evangelists and 12 apostles at the four corners of the bell tower.
