Introduction to the Archbishop's Palace: The Archbishop's Palace is located behind the City Hall. It was built in 1543 when the Hungarian Archbishop's residence, Ostrijom, was captured by the Turks and moved to Bratislava. After the archbishop moved back to Ostrijholm in the 19th century, he sold the Bishop's Palace to the city government at the time. The Hall of Mirrors in the palace is now where the city council meets. During the renovation of the palace, six 17th-century British wall hangings were discovered in the cracks of the wall, which are still preserved in the Archbishop's Palace.
