Introduction to the Chinese Museum: The British Museum is the museum with the largest collection of lost cultural relics in China. Its history of collecting Chinese cultural relics can be traced back to the founding of the museum in 1753. It currently collects as many as 23,000 Chinese cultural relics. There are about 2,000 pieces on permanent display. Exhibition Hall 33 of the museum is a permanent exhibition hall dedicated to displaying Chinese cultural relics. It is one of the only national exhibition halls in the museum along with the exhibition halls of ancient Egypt, ancient Greece, ancient Rome and India.
The Chinese cultural relics collected by the museum cover the entire art category of China. In a word, ancient stoneware, Shang and Zhou bronzes, Wei and Jin stone Buddhist scriptures, Tang and Song calligraphy and painting, Ming and Qing porcelain, etc. mark the pinnacle of various cultures in Chinese history. All national treasures can be seen here, and the categories are complete and beautiful. Among them, the most valuable ones are the "Picture of Admonitions of the Female History", the three-color statue of Luohan in the Song Dynasty, Dunhuang scriptures and famous paintings of the Song and Ming Dynasties.
