Introduction to the Cathedral of the Holy Savior: The Cathedral of the Holy Savior (Sint-Salvatorskerkhof) was built in the 10th century and is the cathedral of the Catholic Diocese of Bruges. The oldest surviving part is the base of the bell tower, dating from the 12th century. The church contains an organ and choir seats built in the 17th century and tapestries from the 18th century. The church museum displays the works of Flemish painters and furniture and daily necessities.
