Introduction to Julien in clothes: In 1696, in order to celebrate Brussels' rebirth from the war of the French, the then ruler of Bavaria, King Maximilian Emmanuel, put Julien in a blue dress. He wore a satin jacket and a feathered hat; later French King Louis XV also dressed the child in the clothes of a marquis, making him a nobleman, and awarded him the Cross of St. Louis. Soldiers passing by must pay homage to him. He salutes.
Due to the popularity of the child statue, officials and ambassadors from various countries who visit Belgium will make a special set of clothes for him, so he has his own exclusive wardrobe with more than 700 pieces of clothes donated by countries around the world. The clothes collection is currently on display. From the urban museum (the museum is located in the King's House on the Grand Place), there are also PLA military uniforms presented by China and Han Chinese double-breasted trousers given by Beijing when Brussels was founded a thousand years ago.
When there is a festival, Julien will wear festive clothes to add a festive atmosphere to the streets. On some special days, he will also wear corresponding clothes. For example, when former Chinese President Jiang Zemin visited Belgium, children wore Wearing Tang suits; when a new country joins the EU, children will also wear the national costume of the joining country.
