Synagogue introduction: Sofia Synagogue is the second largest Sephardic synagogue in Europe and the only synagogue in Sofia where worship can be performed. It is the pride of Bulgarian Jews. Construction of the synagogue started on November 13, 1905. The brass chandelier weighs 2,200 kilograms. Candelabras and other decorations were imported from Vienna. There is also the Jewish Religious Council and the Jewish Historical Museum on the second floor.
