Introduction to St. Catharine's College: St Catharine`s College was officially founded on St. Catharine's Day (November 25) in 1473. Cambridge students like to call the college by the name of "Catz". Compared with the four-sided courtyards of other colleges, the open courtyard inside St. Catherine's facing Trumpington Street is a major feature of the college.
