Introduction to the City Hall: The City Hall (City Hall) and the opposite Nathan Phillips Square were designed by Finnish architect Vilju Level and opened in 1965. The City Hall consists of two buildings of different heights, both of which have a curved plan. The flying saucer-shaped city council chamber is located between the two buildings. The overall layout looks like two hands guarding the chamber, and when viewed from a high altitude, it looks like an open eye. The unique shape of City Hall makes it one of the main landmarks of Toronto. The city's flag, emblem and logo are all based on City Hall.
