Introduction to the Painted Round Tower: From the first courtyard of the castle, you can take a closer look at the painted round tower that can be seen from outside the city. This Gothic-style tower has six floors and is 54.5 meters high. After renovations in various periods, a large number of Renaissance architectural and decorative elements were added to the original Gothic style.
Climb the castle tower and the entire town spreads out before your eyes: the winding Vltava River, the colorful houses on both sides of the river, the blue roof of St. Joesta Church and the Gothic St. Vitus Church in the distance. The spiers form a dizzyingly beautiful watercolor painting.
