Introduction to the Zhenlie Temple: In order to commemorate Meng Jiangnu’s spirit of Zhenlie and to sing the love story of Meng Jiangnu, people call the village where she was born Mengjiayuan, the lotus pond where she bathed in is called Jiangnu Pond, and the green pond where she climbed up to look at her husband is called Jiangnu Pond. Lushan was renamed Mengjiang Mountain (Jiashan), and a temple for Zhenlie was built on the top of the mountain to offer sacrifices. The bamboo she needle-punched into thin leaves was called Mengjiang Bamboo.
