Introduction to the ancient camphor tree: According to research, the ancient camphor tree grew in the early 13th century. Legend has it that Yue Fei, the famous anti-gold general of the Southern Song Dynasty, was training the Yue family army in Mengshan Mountain, Xinyu. He passed by Changfang Village to rush for military supplies in Fenyi County. Because of the hot weather, when I saw the leafy branches of a camphor tree at the east end of the village, I dismounted my horse with my soldiers to enjoy the shade, and tied my white horse to the pole of the camphor tree. It is also said that on January 22, 1482, Taoist priest Changrong, in order to commemorate his 100th birthday, invited the villagers and Taoists to drink and celebrate under the camphor tree here and preach on the practice. From then on, people drink and preach here every January 22nd. On his 200th birthday, all the immortals came to congratulate him, and Taoist Changrong became an immortal under the camphor tree here.
