Introduction to Jiangshen Temple: Jiangshen Temple was built in the Liang Dynasty of the Six Dynasties and was named Shuilu Temple. It was originally a Buddhist temple. In the eighth year of the reign of Emperor Yongzheng of the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Yongzheng ordered all provinces in the south of the Yangtze River to "sacrifice the God of the River in order to benefit the boats." So Zhao Cheng, the envoy of the Hunan Army Array, presided over the change of the Shuilu Temple into the God of the River.
