Introduction to Baoguo Yuan: Among the five major temples in Yushan, Baoguo Yuan is the only Taoist place. Baoguoyuan was built in the Zhengde period of the Ming Dynasty and was originally called Zhenwu Temple. It was renamed Baoguo Yuan during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty. The statue of Zhenwu is enshrined in the center of the courtyard. Standing on both sides are the four marshals Zhao Gongming, Yue Fei, Wen Liang, and Ma Huaguang. The left and right pillars have couplets tracing the history of the courtyard and describing the scenery inside and outside the courtyard. The Baoguo Courtyard occupies a small area, but the grounds outside the hospital are vast. From high altitudes to distant mountains and mist, you can have a panoramic view. With such beautiful landscapes, it’s no wonder that Mr. Yan Tianchi, the first-generation Qin master who founded the “Yushan Qin School”, came here often. The sounds of nature are played here.
