Introduction to the Old Water Tower: The Old Water Tower is one of the few buildings that survived the Great Chicago Fire in 1871. It is located on the north side of Michigan Avenue, next to the John Hancock Center (John Hancock Center), which has now become Chicago Landmark building. The water tower was built in 1869. The tower is about 47 meters high. The material used is large limestone. The entire water tower has the style of European Gothic architecture in the 13th century. It looks like a miniature castle from a distance.
