They are located on the rocks of "Laohuzui" at the intersection of two mountain streams, Panlong Valley and Huangliang Valley. It is a half-moon shaped natural grotto with a width of 6.5 meters, a height of 5.4 meters and a depth of 3.8 meters. There are 8 cliff statues inside, which are divided into three groups. The Buddhist figures have a peaceful expression and plump body, giving people a sense of intimacy. Zhoulu's exquisite openwork carvings are full of life interest, showing the superb artistic level and outstanding creative talents of ancient sculpture craftsmen.
The date when the statues in the Lianghui Water Cliff Grottoes were originally created is unknown.
