Introduction to the Chishui Calliaphila National Nature Reserve: Chishui Jinshagou Callisia National Nature Reserve is 40 kilometers away from Chishui City. It is the only Jurassic earth historical site natural ecological garden in the world.
In the protected area, the philodendrons grow well and are concentrated, with more than 40,000 plants in number. They form dominant plant communities in many areas, which is rare in China and is known as the "kingdom of philodendrons". The reserve is rich in biological resources. According to inspections, there are nearly 200 species of ferns and more than 500 species of seed plants, including 7 species of national key protected plants; wild animals include 10 species of mammals, 110 species of birds, 32 species of reptiles, and amphibians. There are 10 species of species, 39 species of fish, and more than 100 species of insects, including 18 species of nationally protected animals. It can be called a precious source bank of rare species in the subtropical region and is of great significance for protecting biological diversity.
Due to the well-preserved plants in the area, strong primitiveness, closed terrain, and special ecological environment of South Subtropical color, the area is called the "South Asian Enclave" by experts from the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The reserve has now opened three scenic sections: Gangou, Dashuigou and Liangcha River for tourists to sightsee, eco-tourize, return to nature and appreciate ancient features.
