Cao Pavilion introduction: Cao Pavilion is the guest house of Huangshan Military Commission. It is located on a slope in the west of Huangshan Mountain, with mountains on its back and a ravine on its side. It is shaded by green trees and has an elegant environment. Built in the 1940s, it faces south and has a construction area of 209 square meters. It is a Chinese and Western-style civil engineering gallery-style bungalow building. It breaks the traditional symmetrical building convention of the central axis and emphasizes the aesthetics of space and appearance. concept. Because the roof is made of selected imported thatch, which is insulated and kept warm in winter and cool in summer, it is named "Caoting". Later, due to the decay of thatch, the roof was replaced with machine-made tiles. This was originally the place where Chiang Kai-shek received distinguished guests. Chiang Kai-shek's eldest son Chiang Ching-kuo and Zhang Zhizhong, director of the attendant's office, once lived here. In 1945, General Marshall, the special envoy of the US President, stayed here after coming to Chongqing. In the open space on the right side of the grass pavilion, you can not only overlook Wangjiang Pavilion, but also overlook the intersection of the two rivers and the beautiful Yuzhong Peninsula. The scenery is excellent.
