Introduction to the cross-river cableway: Because the Yangtze River and Jialing River cross Chongqing, crossing the river has become a unique way of traveling in Chongqing. In 1982, the Jialing River Passenger Cableway was officially completed and opened to traffic. The cableway is 740 meters long and can carry up to 46 people. It only takes two minutes for citizens to take the cableway from Yuzhong District to Jiangbei City. Therefore, the cableway is called the "sky bus". Since its completion, the cross-river cableway has not only become a unique mode of transportation in Chongqing, but also a sightseeing car that foreign passengers must experience when visiting Chongqing. In 2011, due to conflicts with urban planning, this cross-river cableway, known as the symbol of Chongqing, was officially suspended and demolished.
