Introduction to Shidi: Shidi Ancient Town is located in the northeast of Xiushan County and is the intersection of Youshui River and Meijiang River. Historically, the ancients called this place the "East Shu Fortress" and it was a border town where three ethnic groups lived together. The "Jiuxi Shibadong Miao Uprising" happened here because the ethnic minorities could not bear the oppression of the ruling class and so they rose up to resist.
