Introduction to the Qingjiao Tzu Chi Ancestral Palace: The Great Baosheng Emperor - Wu Kui was a folk miracle doctor in the Song Dynasty. Emperor Chengzu of the Ming Dynasty named Wu Kui the Wanshou Wuji Baosheng Great Emperor. He is commonly known as Daggong among the people. In the third year of Jingyou's reign (1036), Emperor Renzong of the Song Dynasty, Wu Kui went deep into the plague-endemic areas of southern Fujian to save the people. Unfortunately, he fell off a cliff while collecting medicine and died. The local people built "Longqiu'an" in his hometown of Baijiao Village and worshiped the statue. It is the predecessor of Baijiao Tzu Chi Palace. The temple was built in the 21st year of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty (1151). Song Xiaozong gave the temple the name "Tzu Chi". In the first year of Song Chunyou (1241), the temple was changed into a palace. Qingjiao Tzu Chi Palace was It is located east of the Tzu Chi Palace in Baijiao, hence the name Tzu Chi East Palace.
