Lincoln Center Introduction: Lincoln Center, as the center of New York's classical music scene, is the stage longed for by all artists. It is also the New York cultural center that brings together theaters, opera houses, concert halls, and outdoor concert halls. It used to be a slum. In 1950, with John D Rockedeller Jr as the center, plans were made to build it into the center of the music industry. After that, the Philharmonic Hall (now Avery Fisher Hall) was built in 1962, the New York State Theater was built in 1964, and the Metropolitan Opera House was built in 1966. In the center of the center are the Metropolitan Opera House, the Nea York State Theater with a marble fountain in the middle, and Avery Fisher Hall.
