Introduction to the National Museum in Colombo: The National Museum is located on Fernando Street in downtown Colombo, the capital. It is a double-story grand white building and the oldest museum in Sri Lanka. The museum houses cultural relics from various historical periods of Sri Lanka from prehistory to modern times. Among them are studios dating back more than 2,500 years, various ancient bronzes, bronze sculptures, gems, classical paintings, flags, as well as various weavings, metal products, unique handicrafts, famous murals, and the last generation of Kandyan dynasty. There are also the armor of King Ti and the Lion Throne brought from Kandy, as well as the monuments built in Sri Lanka by Zheng He, the three treasure eunuchs of the Ming Dynasty, during his voyages to the West.
