Introduction to Azahara Palace: Medina Azahara Palace (Medina Azahara) was built in 936 by the Arab Caliph Abdul Rahman III. It is a typical building of the Caliphate period. The palace is named after the king's concubine Ashara. The palace only existed for a century before it was destroyed by the Berbers.
Ashara Palace is basically rectangular in shape. The entire palace is built according to the mountain and has clear layers. Each level is separated by stone walls, dividing the palace into three parts. The highest part is the main palace, with nurseries and gardens in the middle, and the largest mosque and residences are built on the bottom floor. In addition, the palace also preserves stone pillars and paintings of various styles. In the restored hall, you can vaguely imagine the grand occasion of that year.
