Introduction to Plaza del Potro: Plaza del Potro is located at the intersection of Lucano Street and Torres Street, about a 10-minute walk from the Grand Mosque. The pony statue on top of the fountain in the center of the square is the city emblem of Cordoba. This was once a lively market where vendors gathered. Now there are many gift shops around the square selling a variety of local specialties. The Pony Inn in the corner of the square is where the Spanish writer Cervantes once lived. Another building next to the square is the Provincial Museum of Cordoba.
