Introduction to the Wise Master Memorial Tower: The Wise Master Memorial Tower is built on the hillside between the two release pools. It was built in memory of the Wise Master Zhiyi. Zhiyi was the founder of the Tiantai Sect, a great Chinese Buddhist in the Sui and Tang Dynasties. In the 17th year of Emperor Kaihuang's reign in the Sui Dynasty (597), he passed away here on November 24 due to illness. A memorial tower for the mantle and bowl was built at the place where he passed away.
