Introduction to Wolong Pavilion and General Pavilion: According to legend, in February of the 36th year of Kangxi (1697), Emperor Kangxi arrived at Dajing Gate at midnight. The city gate was closed. The gatekeepers abided by their duties and did not open the door. Emperor Kangxi He had no choice but to rest outside the Erlang Temple under the city. The next day, Emperor Kangxi entered the city. Instead of punishing the guards, he cleverly rewarded them. Later generations built a Wolong Pavilion outside Dajing Gate, with a stone tablet erected inside, and the four characters "Huanglu Relics" were engraved on the tablet. A General's Pavilion was also built on the opposite hillside to commemorate this beautiful episode.
