Introduction to the bony fish exhibition hall: Bony fish appeared in the Devonian period, slightly earlier than the cartilaginous fish, and are the largest group of fish. There are more than 20,000 species in existence, accounting for almost half of the total number of vertebrates. Their skeletons are hard bones with a pair of gill holes. Most bony fish have swim bladders that can control their ups and downs in the water, and their body shape is suitable for swimming freely in the water.
