Introduction to Da Nang Cathedral: Da Nang Cathedral was built in 1923. It was originally a Catholic church during the French rule. It is marked by the weather vane on the tall bell tower, also known as the Rooster. The church is the largest Western church in central Vietnam. Now a church serving more than 4,000 local Catholics, the candy-like pink building has become a symbol of Da Nang, inlaid with medieval-style stained glass.
