Introduction to the Vaccination Monument: The Vaccination Monument is located on the north side of the Tang-Tibet Alliance Monument. It was erected to commemorate the central government’s teaching of vaccination methods to the Tibetan people to prevent and control smallpox during the Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty. It bears witness to the central government's care for the Tibetan people.
