Introduction to the Red Fort: The Red Fort is located in the northeast of Old Delhi and on the west bank of the Yamuna River. It was selected as a World Cultural Heritage in 2007. The Red Fort is named after its construction of brown sandstone. In the mid-17th century, the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan moved the capital from Agra to Delhi and built the castle in the style of Agra Fort.
Transportation: Take the yellow line of rail transit to Chandni Chowk station, walk about 2 kilometers or take a tuk-tuk/human-powered three-wheeler.

Tickets: 250 rupees/person for foreign tourists, 10 rupees/person for locals. Photography is free, while video recording costs 25 rupees. At night, there is a sound and light phantom show at the Red Fort, telling tourists about the history of the Mughal Dynasty in English and Hindi. Tickets are 60 rupees for adults on weekdays, 20 rupees for children under 12 years old, and 80 rupees for adults and 30 rupees for children on weekends and holidays.
