Introduction to Shihu Ancestral Hall: Shihu Ancestral Hall is located at the junction of Shuikou and Nancheng townships. It is a Taoist resort that integrates landscape culture and Taoist culture.
During the Shaoxing period of the Song Dynasty (1131-1162), three Taoists, Zhang Ciguan, Zhang Langrui and Xiao Langqing, were treating mandrills in Shiniu Mountain. Later generations respectfully called them "Zhang Gong Shengjun" (Fazhu Gong) and "Zhang Gong Zhenren". and "Xiao Gongshengjun". During the Southern Song Dynasty, statues were enshrined in Zixiao Cave (also known as Shihu Cave, commonly known as Dingyan). Later, they were struck by lightning and the cave rocks collapsed. In the Ming Dynasty, they were moved to the current site and called Shihu Temple. The temple was destroyed during the Republic of China and has been rebuilt since 1984.
Zhang Gongshengjun is very influential in Taiwan. He is enshrined in palaces such as Zaixing Palace in Yixing County and Jin'an Palace in Suao Town. Since 1988, believers from all over Taiwan have organized groups to go to Shihu Temple to look for Zhang's ancestral hall and palace. remains.
