Introduction to Zhongfeng: The top of Zhongfeng in Guiqing Mountain is relatively flat. There was originally a Zhongfeng temple covering an area of 20,000 square meters. It was built by Zen Master Tieniu in the 45th year of Jiajing in the Ming Dynasty (1566 AD). The bell tower has 4 large bells that can accommodate 10 people. Whenever the cold moon sets in the west and the fog covers the green mountains, the bells in the temple sound deep and monotonous, and the sound of the Dharma in the hall is loud and melodious, forming the "ancient temple bells".
The original temple was destroyed by fire in the 18th year of the Republic of China (1929 AD). Only the vaguely identifiable ruins remain, and the "ancient temple bells" have also disappeared into the smoke of history.
