Introduction to the Sui Grottoes: The main cave is the Sui Grottoes. In the center is a sculptured statue of Sakyamuni, 6.7 meters tall, sitting firmly on a lotus platform, with a dignified face, a solemn expression and extraordinary charm. According to expert research, this statue not only has the characteristics common to other Sui Dynasty grotto statues in China, but also has strong local characteristics. It is rare in the country to be so perfectly preserved. On both sides of the main statue, namely the east and west walls, there are more than ten rows of small niches, and the statues in each niche are lifelike. There are usually 1-5 statues in each niche. The large ones are 0.5 meters high and the small ones are only a dozen centimeters. They may sit on a lotus pedestal or stand with palms together, with different expressions. Next to the niche is a theme inscription, with simple brushwork and vigorous lines, and the font has the style of the transitional stage from official script to regular script. The rectangular niche at the bottom of the east wall is carved with the "Nirvana Picture", which is the memorial ceremony for Sakyamuni's ascension to heaven.
