Introduction to the Tang Grotto: The Tang Grotto is located on the cliff 20 meters above the west side of the Sui Grotto. There are two entrances to the cave, one facing south and one facing west. Below the south entrance is a cliff. Access can only be achieved by climbing through the artificial stone cave from the west entrance (local people call it "picking the nose of the jar"). The cave has an arched niche carved into the stone wall and contains three statues. Experts have verified that they are one Buddha and two disciples, or one Buddha and two Bodhisattva statues.
