Introduction to Daci Temple: Fuquan Mountain is also known as "Dasi Mountain" because Shi Miyuan, Prime Minister of the Southern Song Dynasty, buried his loving mother here. Shi Miyuan's family believed in Buddhism and built it at the foot of Fuquan Mountain in the 20th year of Shaoxing in the Song Dynasty (1150 AD) The large-scale Daci Temple, with more than a hundred monks living there at that time, was a famous jungle in eastern Zhejiang. Historians later built Taoist temples such as Baohua Temple, Wukong Temple, and Miaozhi Temple in Daci Mountain. In order to flatter Empress Dowager Yang, who came to stay during the Emperor Lizong's dynasty, she went to Taiqing Palace, Zhende Temple, Wuzhen Temple and other palaces, as well as to serve her. At the head of the Guanyi River where the official ships docked, the scale of construction was at its peak. With the fall of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Shi family declined day by day. By the Ming and Qing Dynasties, most of these temples had been destroyed.
Daci Temple still has the mountain gate and the front and rear buildings of the main hall. The main hall is a five-open intermittent mountain-style building with a depth of 12.15 meters and a width of 11.10 meters. It is in the shape of a shuttle, with a drum-shaped column base and a raspberry underneath. It has obvious architectural features of Ming Dynasty wooden structure. The mountain gate has three bays. There is a pair of stone drums in front of the door, which is stepped across. The original seven-stone pagoda in front of the temple is about 3 feet high. It has an ancient style and exquisite carvings. It is unparalleled in the famous temples in the southeast. Local people praised it: "Tiantong's pagodas are not as good as one pagoda in the big temple." There is Wan Gong Pond in front of the pagoda. There were two large stone turtles lying next to each other.
