Introduction to the First Church of Dunedin: The First Church of Dunedin (First Church) is located on the southeast side of the Octagon Square. It was built in 1862 and was designed and supervised by the famous architect Robert Arthur Lawson at the time. The First Church of Dunedin belongs to the Presbyterian Church and has a 56-meter steeple with 12 tower bells. It is the most eye-catching landmark in downtown Dunedin. The church is located on the top of Bell Hill in Moray Place. The church can be seen from almost all areas in downtown Dunedin.
