Stone statue introduction: Easter Island is dotted with nearly a thousand huge stone statues of various shapes, some lying on the wild slopes of the mountains, or lying on the seaside. Stone statues are generally 5-10 meters high and weigh dozens of tons. The tallest one is 22 meters long and weighs more than 300 tons. Some stone statues also have red stone caps weighing 10 tons on their heads. These stone statues, called "Moai" by the locals, are carved from dark basalt and tuff. Some of them are inlaid with shells as eyes, which are bright and vivid. "Dahai" is the best-preserved "Moai" stone statue group on the island.
