Introduction to High Street: High Street is the center of Edinburgh's old town. It is lined with shops on both sides and is often visited by tourists and street performers.
The High Court of Justiciary on the north side of the street is Scotland’s highest criminal court. Parliament Square on the south side is named after the old Parliament House (Parliament House), which is now used as Scotland’s highest criminal court. The Court of Session and Edinburgh's tallest church, St Giles Cathedral, also stand in Parliament Square.
