Introduction to Zhang Gong Temple: Zhang Gong Temple, the family temple built by Zhang Jian, the general of Datong in the Ming Dynasty, for his father Zhang Rui. Zhang Rui, a Shenmu man, practiced martial arts and served as a general in Xuanfu. In the Battle of Tumubao, he died heroically to save Zhu Qizhen, the Yingzong of the Ming Dynasty. He was posthumously awarded the title of Guanglu Doctor, and his widow Zhang was granted the title of first-class wife. The next five generations were important generals guarding the border, and many of them died on the battlefield. They were another heroic family after the Yang family.
