Introduction to the "Three Wonders" of Yunju Temple: Yunju Temple is a gathering place for Buddhist scriptures. The stone scriptures, paper scriptures and woodblock scriptures are collected in the temple, which are known as the "three wonders". Among them, the "Stone Buddhist Tripitaka" was first engraved in the Daye period of the Sui Dynasty (605). Monk Jingwan and others carved the scriptures on the stone in order to safeguard the righteousness of the Dharma. The sutra engraving business went through six dynasties, including Sui, Tang, Liao, Jin, Yuan, and Ming, and lasted for 1,039 years. 1,122 Buddhist sutras, 3,572 volumes, and 14,278 pieces were engraved.
