Introduction to the Remote Pavilion: The stone stele carried by the tortoise in the pavilion was originally a handwritten imperial stele written by Emperor Wanli of the Ming Dynasty. During the Anti-Japanese War, the imperial stele was lost, leaving only the tortoise in place to pray for people's blessings and auspiciousness, and was rebuilt. When it was completed, a new stone tablet was erected on top of the turtle.
